Description

A compact raised bed mulch layer is designed for use with compact tractors in high tunnels and fields where close spacings are desirable. Its features include a crowned bed that is higher in the center. Teflon-lined bed press gives a smooth, pressed seed bed and eliminates potholes. Adjustable tension on the plastic roll and independent spring-loaded press wheels ensure plastic is stretched tightly. Large cover disks are independently spring-loaded and are fully adjustable to ensure that plastic is covered securely. Flat-free/foam-filled press wheels. Drip irrigation attachment available.

The RB448 is adjustable to lay 3 or 4 feet wide plastic and forms a 4″ high 20 or 30″ wide bed, 30-60hp recommended.

The RB436 lays 3 feet wide plastic, forms 4″ high and 20″ wide bed, 20-40hp recommended. Drip Tape attachments are sold separately.

Helpful hint: once you have your mulch layer working beautifully, make a mark on the tractor where the draw bar sits so the next time you go to attach the mulch layer, you know your sweet spot for your mulch layer.
