A cereal rye that is an excellent choice for cover crop. It’s inexpensive, readily available, easy to sow and grow, and easy to till under. It produces more dry matter in the spring than other cereal grains and its extended, deep roots have a beneficial effect on tilth. It will grow in low fertility soil better than other grains. 1/4 acre requires 25 lbs, 1/2 acre requires 50 lbs, 1 acre requires 100 lbs.
